Your options are IIRC... confirm with the court when you call them..
Pay it right away and have a point on your record - Don't do that.
Pay it and request a traffic school - you'll pay for the ticket + fee to take a traffic school + the fee to take the traffic school itself (do it online).
Pay it and request a trial by written declaration (you'll have to pay the full amount of the ticket, you'll know what it is by calling the court in a few days). You'll then have time to submit paperwork on your side of the story. Key here is to file for extensions. If you LOSE you can still take traffic school, if you WIN (and the only way you'll win this one is if the cop doesn't submit his side of the story) you'll get a refund and won't have to take traffic school. This is the method I took for my first ticket (not speeding) and won years ago. The second ticket I got last year I ended up loosing, but then took online traffic school to keep my record clean. Both of my tickets never had a $ amount written on them, I had to wait a few days and call the court to find out / confirm. You can find some of the codes online and figure out how much they'll cost, but most likely it will be more. For example, to file for a traffic school used to be $25 or so, now it's almost $60 for this processing fee alone, plus the cost of the traffic school (about $20 online).
Dress up and goto court to get it knocked down to no points and pay whatever fine they lower it to... (50/50 here).
Pay a lawyer to fight it. They'll basically try to plea it down to a lesser fine.
