Last Sunday I was on the 405N with an early model 4 door, dropped, basket-weaves but looked to be slightly stanced with spacers (looked nice!) with a "respect your elders" sticker on the rear riverside window. We exchanged greetings and drove behind each other for a few miles.

Random question from a socal newb...why does everyone refer to highways as 'the 405', 'the 91'. It's very strange, you people are weird to me.

I'm from RI, we call them things like "Route 1" or just "95" back there, and for some reason calling them "The 405" and "The 73" out here just seems normal. Maybe because highways get used like normal roads because there's so many?
