    LA and surrounding cities

I was at the Dockweiler meet this weekend and it kind of struck me that there was nothing else to do besides looking at other members rides., so I was thinking about setting up the next meet with a BBQ and used parts market sort of thing.

The entrance to the beach lot has been raised to $7.00 dollars and if we set it up right we can charge the members like an extra $5.00 bucks for a plate of food and a soft drink or water. After being there for so long I got hungry and so did a lot of the other people who took off early just to get a bite to eat, without a re-entry pass to the parking lot the ones who arrived late were the only ones left to mingle for the rest of the evening.

I agree. I hadn't eaten anything all day, so I left to get some food, and didn't want to pay another $7 to get back into the parking lot so I went home.
I think a beach bonfire would be sick, maybe a volleyball/football game? Something other than standing around looking at cars.
Do another meet on August 8/9 before I go back up to Norcal.

I never liked Dockweiler because 1) we have to pay for parking. We could have pulled our money together and had a nice BBQ with plenty of food. 2) it's a beach and the parking lot fills up fast on nice summer days. We need to find a nice big park with BBQ grills and picnic table area. Somewhere off the freeways.

Parks like Wilson Park or Alondra Park in Torrance.

#1 true, #2 Your suggestions are cool but finding a median for most members in the LA area is the biggest pain in the ass. Since noone wants to drive anywhere it becomes an issue of scheduling because everyone has something else to do instead., We've been down this road before.

I know, I know Bob wasn't present so no food.
Where is this park you speak of exactly?

I'm even down for Echo Park!, you name it and I'm usually there but I don't think most members would be cool with HOODIE spots like (elysian park, echo park).

Let's keep our options open 'cause I really want to BBQ and have fun while checking out e30's too.

I used to live across the street from Wilson. There are 4-5 lots to choose from. Honda guys have meets there in the open lot behind the horseshoes. Plenty of room, unless there is some major event goin on. Alondra park is off Prairie/manhattan/redondo beach blvd.
