So the core is bypassed. OK. Go and grab some from BMA. Inlet (from cylinder head) is on the bottom and outlet (to block) is on top. Hopefully, the heater valve and core are functional.

It goes under the dash. There is a valve and the core is next to it.
Check if the valve is not leaking after hooking it up. Sometimes when O-rings left dry for a long time, they fail and may leak when hooked back up.

Change your plugs and do a coolant flush.
Did you install the headgasket I assume? 20w50 either castrol or penzoil. IF the rings are wearing out on the pistons my options are? new block?

My bad, i read your question wrong.
Two hoses go there, one goes to the front of the block, one to the rear. Pic coming up.

Shant did the work. Bad rings don't mean new block but they do mean it's time for a rebuild. Of course it's cheaper and easier to find another used engine. This is all speculation without me seeing it. If you want a good additive that may help pick up some Rislone engine restore. It's about $10 though.

Correction: it's called Rislone Compression Repair.

i believe the valve cover had been tightened down way too much multiple times. thus causing the metal surface that the bolt normally rest on to be ground into. and i think that from removing and re-installing the valve cover that the bolts rounded-out the holes with their threads.

one comes from the expansion tank iirc, at least for mine it did, i THINK. never really looked into it. just replaced heater valve, and it worked like a charm.

Thanks I will try that stuff for now, but The fact you tell me I need a rebuild sounds worse then a head gasket...Guess I need a seta bottom end now? how "cheap" can those be with my luck

It's a big t shaped hose. Goes to thermostat housing, expansion tank, and pipe in firewall.

A factory recall has been performed on your car. Do you see the small silver coolant bypass thermostat in this picture? It should go 1 hose to 2 hoses. One hose goes to the bottom pipe. The other hose feeds back to the outlet circuit through another "T".

The outlet hose should be along the block somewhere. Have a look to see what's going on. The ends are probably just plugged up.
