I just have a feeling Id be happier with a 535 in either era. I just cant decide if I like the "early" or "late". Id be ok with an auto to start but id be on the lookout for a swap

A San Diego native was the owner of that car, he even came to Dockweiler 1.5......super nice dude but the car was busting oil pans like crazy on that set up. Still my e28 inspiration if I ever do one.
Good luck, finding a clean and fairly cheap e28
I did but you said it was an Auto and didn't want to do the 5 speed swap? The one I through at you was clean and fairly priced Danny. Give us specifics as to what a good candidate has to have for you.@IRON-E30 aka Edwin:DComment

You're a dreamer dude, that S38 is the most expensive engine to service and you can't even get out of a busted down M50 yet Matt. Stick with the M20 much cheaper to deal with even if it's old and slow. ;)
That's why after 5 years my POS is still running@IRON-E30 aka Edwin:DComment
