I wonder if that adjusts the height of the damper essentially moving the shocks upward to reserve shock travel on a lowered car. This could be done instead of cutting and welding the towers higher as seen in some race cars and running short bodied shocks."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

You probably have a small flange, late CSB...but this depends on your exact production date. CSB's can be changed out though, so that's not a big deal.
