E39's are getting cheaper everyday, especially those with problems like this one. They must have sold a shit load of them. You'll see that owners don't want to pay to fix the trans, LCM, window regulators, engines, or troubleshoot electrical problems. They rather sell or part/junk the car. These are great cars if everything works but they have the potential of being nightmare cars...unless of course you work on them yourself.
