i am somewhat interested in the rear shelf, but i can buy it new for reasonably cheap.

i saw a clean as hell mtech2 red vert today as well as a late model red vert dumped on fat brock B1s. also saw a really clean old school rabbit with an intercooler half the size of the valance hanging out the front. also, more e36s with eyelids.

if you removed the fuel level sending unit can you see how much gas you have? by this i mean: how would you know if it is full? would the fuel be close to the top of the opening of the tank? could you put your finger in and get it wet with fuel?

      in the e30 of course

you would know when it's full when it clicks full. maybe i don't understand. i'd be more worried about knowing when it's empty.

also, with no senders your tank will have pretty decent sized holes at the top and no vacuum. wouldn't really recommend driving like that.

my dad's old work friend let me drive his e36 today. he bought it new in 95, the odometer sits at 62k and some change.....that's 38k miles. he only washes it by hand and drives it sundays in summer.

yes i would just let the pump stop on its own. and im not taking about driving without the unit in.

i ask because i went to the station to fill up and it started pumping and gas was flowing but i was not being charged anything. No $ sign or Gallons being pumped. just a blank screen. i sat there for a good 2 mins before letting go of the pump handle. :tsk: then i squeezed again and then the numbers popped up and it showed how much i was getting. just wanted to know how much i actually got (since my fuel gauge does not work.) figured i could pop the unit and look down, but dont know what "full" would look like
