you've seen matt's. i think his is a 79zx....the x meaning touring/bigger gas tank i think. his hasn't given him TOO much trouble....fuel pump died when he starved it and the distributor took a shit in the middle of utah. otherwise he's had it like 4 years no problems. old datsuns are usually pretty damn reliable.
