Been there done that too. For awhile I was doing 80-100hr weeks getting districts ready to start the year. Tiring, but utterly worthwhile if you have the stamina and want the $$$$$. Funny thing, just about all that extra $$ went to dating the most expensive girl I had yet. I should have seen it and bought an M3 or 2 instead....

Ah yes, with a family it's much different. Best of luck to you in both work and family. I've seen too many people work themselves out of their families if you catch the drift.... Being a provider is one thing, but being one that is available despite finances is more the man.

Noise Violation Ticket while listening to 311. LOL...so silly. Just had the windows down and was at a comfortable listening level as the warm Cali air danced with my lovely blonde hair. Apparently if you can hear it from 50ft away it's too loud. I know I can hear people talking from 50ft away.

Argue that the dude didn't have a decibel reader and therefor you weren't breaking the law. That's an easy ticket to get out of.

Decibel reading has nothing to do with being audible from 50 feet. Either he heard you or he didn't. Sounds pretty cut and dry.

The law states that a Db reader is not necessary. Cop was right next to my car though, not 50 ft away. Not going to fight it. I just laughed because it's something I wanted since HS....(a decent car stereo that is) and it came with the BS that is usually associated with one.
