I say it somewhat in jest too. Racers care quite a bit about MPG, even in Formula 1 (which my understanding is about 3-4mpg) because the better MPG you get, the less weight you have to carry. Le Mans is concerned about MPG probably the most, especially with the new limit on fuel usage.
