hey, just a suggestion, perhaps open it up to all bmws here in socal? perhaps like a socal bmw crew. you'd get more action there. just a thought, however i noticed that it was always slow.

That stuff can be easily fixed. Just got to have the webmaster adjust the images permissions. As for site speed, I think that would have to do with the webhost. Again, the webmaster for the site should be able to fix that.

Edit: Ben, the number of images you can upload as an attachment was bumped to 20. Try again and upload those pictures for the tutorial.

SoCal would be south of Fresno. Although the way the site is set up, it can easily accommodate more areas.

What don't you like about the layout / colorscheme? I worked on the design for it and I can send a revised version to the webmaster.

I've attempted to get the site active again but to no avail. Griggs wanted to buy the site so he could make changes that would benefit the community. That failed as you know and that is why e30technic.com came into existence. From my observation it seems like the socale30 site is stuck in time besides the occasional posts. Now don't get me wrong, Shiroma is a cool guy and all but he's the guy that has to make the changes to get the site active again. From what I understand he was tired of the drama that was going on a few months ago and just kind-of let it all sort itself out. That being said, there needs to at least be some people that can moderate and set up meets to keep an active community. Frankly, that's not being done and the site is about as dead as the dinosaurs.

Case and point... I wouldn't expect much updates such as forum software, tapatalk, etc... to socale30. I've asked for upgrades in the past, stuff that literally takes 2 minutes to install on PHPBB3 and it still hasn't happened. Good example of that being tapatalk.

e30technic on the other hand is using top of the line forum software (vBulletin 4.2.x) and has tapatalk built in. The site has a lot of potential and I expect to see some cool stuff in the future. *hint BigSoCalEuro

so to cut that down in a sentence; replacing a dead forum with another one that will probably also fall into mediocrity.
