What's the best way to check TB?

Will check CPs on the am. Thanks Abby

Just check it please. The same thing happened to one of our customers.

It was a broken timing belt.

    How old was the belt?

The car will crank funny if the tb broke. Audibly a different tone.

My bet is CPS as well. Or a loose main relay.

Timing belt was done last year and 17k miles ago.

Yeah broken TB would sound like whirring on crank.

Exactly what you described happened to me.
It was the timing belt. This is what it sounded like:

These wouldn't happen to be ceramic coated, would they?

Main thing is the Vanos but I gave Chris a long list of shit I've been neglecting.

Easiest way to check if it's broken is to have somebody crank it while you open the oil cap to see if the head is rotating.

Jeff Ireland just responded saying "probably not coated." If he can't tell whether his own headers are coated or not I'm not sure anyone can haha.

Be relieved if the car doesn't sound like my video posted above.
