Hah you know I never really researched e30's. I knew I wanted one and I bought one. Of course I got one that was heavily modified so what I read didn't always count for my situation. I think that's part of the fun of learning as you go. This is what forums are all about.

I totally understand. After my last swapped car, I didn't want another. When your busy with life's other problems, with something like this, a shop may not know the intricacies, so it's much more DIY. Well you know the story....red S52 FS!...ohohoh take my money!!!

Sell your car and buy a stock e30...i think most people would agree, buying a heavily modded car / swapped car and wanting to be like a brand new car is not going to happen easily or cheaply...your car is a gorgeous build for the most part, dont ruin the car swapping everything back to stock...sell the car, buy a stock car you like and youll come out on top

Oh wait that was you lol :) Your car is super nice but I'm not into verts. I try to stay from the sun as much as possible.

steering racks run anything dexII or higher i think. essentially, basic ATF. trans fluid goes in the trans.
