I didn't ask many questions, all I know is I called the minute they opened and asked. I had to name off the tools I had lost, but I drove down on my lunch break and picked them up. I think I was lucky the one guard that's cool there was on gate duty.

That makes you still have some faith in humanity...

During the remodeling of my house while I was on my honeymoon they stole about 3k worth of tools(craftsman and snap-on) and other equipment from my garage. Contractor had sub-ed some paisas from HD "skilled workers" union, couldn't find them afterwards. He came through with other things around the house to make up for it, but still couldn't add up to 10 years of collecting specialized tools and ready to use convenient sets.

I hate the feel of new tools, older tools feel much better like they know what they are doing themselves being seasoned with grease and blood.

Apparently if you have failed smog before then you qualify. They may also select vehicles at random...

haven't had to smog it yet and my car has never failed smog knock on wood, god damn they are getting nuts with this its not like people that have failed smog did it on purpose they shouldn't have to go though more stringent test than any other car
