I did an interesting experiment i thought I would share with you guys, i ordered spark plug wires for my motorcycle and decided to ship each one separately to see which was faster of their two options, first class usps or ups (usps priority was also available)

So I placed both orders at the same time and got confirmation that each seperate order was shipped within about 15 min of eachother... However, the package from usps is expected to arrive today, I placed my order on saturday, so they both shipped out monday...my package from ups, expected to arrive wednesday and has been in tx since tuesday...

Both packages originated in flordia...

Experiment results, ups was three times the money of usps first class, and they are going to take a week and a half to do what usps did in 4 days
