anyone here want to tag along with me for a road trip sometime in june for about a week or so? heading to idaho then washington and then oregon to see a few universities.

Did that over summer. Beautiful scenery but long-ass roadtrip! Then again, we went in to Canada.

haha yeah going into canada is far. it's about 19hrs to university of idaho and then about 6 hours to university of washington and then possibly one more school in oregon and then head back. so really 4 to 5 days.

i flew my girl and i to seattle for 120$, that in gas would have gotten me almost to SF at the time. the car is another story though.

Save up 1k for gos and foods, have fun be safe. Get your car to drive like tits and you'd be fine

so today i had by far one of the oddest request at the autoparts,
guy wanted to know what the best black glossy paint would be to use
i asked him what substrate he was painting
he answered his tires.

crunching some numbers together. i'd be doing somewhere around 2,600 miles, give or take. at the baseline 25 miles to the gallon highway, i'd have to fill up around 7-8 but to be safe and mix in some city driving, i'd say somewhere between 7-10. filling up 7 times would be around $400 more or less.

so, total for driving is $400. therefore, renting a car would be out of the question as i'd be spending easily another $300 easily on top of that.
