    I was notified today that there is a mandatory meeting at work on Sunday morning and i'd get written up if I don't go. I told the manager I'm trying to help my dad with the choir on Sunday and I couldn't stay for the whole thing and he told me it isn't an option, i'd still get written up as per comapny policy. Do I have any footing here?

            That's trash. I've had a similar thing happen to me except I had told tem before hand I was going to not be in town, but I was still required to go. Gl dude.

                I always miss "mandatory" meetings at my work. If I'm not on the schedule, I don't show up. lol

                    I even offered to be there for as much as I could of it. I think I'm going to put in my two weeks and start pulling oilpans again. I've never worked on a Sunday before, 3 days notice is garbage.

                        Look up the notice time needed to miss a day.
                        I think it's 24 hours.
