I would think $20-25k for that low mileage. I understand the M5 temptation as well.

So... I'm torn between getting a e24, e28, another e30, e32, e34, e36, or maybe an e39. One requirement is that my new car has to be manual. Also, I kind-of want a car with 5-lug so I can put on my 16x8 Style 5's.

But on the other hand, I'd almost want to get another e30 since they are super easy to work on. The only problem right now is the ones on the market right now all need a bit of TLC. I still have a month or two before I can afford a new car, but I need to narrow down my options.

you're torn between too many cars. don't get anything on that list except for something that isn't falling apart because you'll be in the same damn boat again. just save up and get a clean e30 that isn't a pile of shit.

True... but a e34 with the sports package would be sick too. But your right... e30 a clean would be the easiest option since I already know how to work on the car.

they are all easy cars to work on. it's the fact that you are going to be buying something 15+ years old and your budget is something that can only get you something that is half running and falling apart. save up for something that is at least maintained and won't be a pos.

True. In that case I'll probably be a few months without a car.

Fair enough. Truthfully just want to find a manual BMW.

in the mean time, i don't know what type of insurance you have but squeeze a rental out of them or utilize public transportation.

Rage quit from my m30 swap. Who wants goodntight motor arms? Bought em for 270 shipped, selling for 250. They allow you to mount the motor in position 2 or 3 with modification to the firewall.
