Well it does have 169k but I'm noob when it comes to early M motors. Do they share s14 rebuild costs/intervals?
It's all about the matainance the car has had. They are both expensive to rebuild. But if maintained well they could last to about 200-250K. Not as good as an ETA motor. ;)

140k-170k is pretty average for this car and as far as the s14 vs. s38 I think they were pretty close at one point but lately I've been hearing the s14 rebuild cost are skyrocketing
This car is interesting, and below market if it is nice. Do a carfax and if it passes then a PPI. These cars are expensive to fix so keep that in mind when you make your offer.

Yes it is I've tried the owner twice and no response. Also yes I own one and my dad has had his since 95' so I know all about cost of an "S" motor.
