i just think people have their priorities wrong and would rather spend money on getting a 7 section removable exhaust instead of a breather hose.

Speaking of priorities, what skidplates are you guys running on your m20s? Pros and cons?

Which is why I am getting a vacuum line and lugging around my OEM exhaust  I just hope it's only the brake vacuum line that's leaking and nothing else. No time to make a smoke tester...unless I do it the hobo way with a tube and a black n mild lol...

Steel plate welded to the oil pan 8)

I keed, I am not running one currently but I do like the one where it can be combined with that crossbrace. Just think of the stiffness up front...pun intended.

I believe its called the euroworks skid plate, but jgee makes it and jason is also running it, pros, it works, if hit it really hard and everything is fine, cons...its welded to the frame, but refer to pros and its worth it

so I bought a p/s delete. I read a few how-to's online to prep. I went to take the p/s lines off my rack last night, and my two banjo bolts don't face the driver side motor mount like I normally see online. my banjo bolts face toward the engine/oil pan. I guess not a huge deal, but made me wonder why.

the only pictures I could find of a rack similar to mine is when I google image "e30 zf steering rack"

what steering rack do I have? is it bad, good, etc...?

                '89 325i for reference.

They are all like that. It's not too difficult if you have the correct sized wrenches and small hands

I have a paintless dent removal guy coming by today. First time dealing with this type of repair. It should be interesting.

Welcome to the new guys! I hope to see you at one of the meets.

                    Nigel,

I finally found the rest of the wheel bolts that I have been looking for. I will PM you when I get them all counted. Sorry for the delay.

                    Cheers,

                    Jim
It's important to tell the guy that you don't want any holes drilled anywhere unless you don't mind them drilling into the body and installing a plug.

Good advise. I don't want holes drilled to fix the dents.

                      Thanks,

oh really? ha dang. I was under the impression the lines/bolts faced toward the motor mounts.

I have all the lines off and everything already. just wanted to check with you guys before I installed the delete.

why is it a fart cannon? its a real HKS. its super deep toned and very quiet. not turbo yet.

Just the way it looks is very similar to a fart cannon, HKS is a good brand they sound great on e46's but aesthetically that doesn't do it for me on an e30. Some like some don't, I imagine it will be a perfect compliment when that boost does come though

yep thats the one! that thing is a monster its saved my pan so many times. When my motor mounts disintegrated, it was the only thing holding my motor up.
