Apparently the guy didn't pay for registration for 3 years. But non-oped it in 2012. Sooo add smog fees and other stuff, which is BS for a car that sat for 3 years.

Fucking DMV... they want to charge me fees now and the previous owner is "un-aware of any besides the ones he paid in full." So now I have to wait on the phone for a representative. Luckily the car is not in my name yet and I'm currently researching options.

Depends if a car that has been sitting for 2-3 years will pass smog no problem...id say this free car is turning into a money pit

It apparently had a new CAT which was done in 2012 along with some engine rebuild work. The head looks brand new.

Needs a new wiring harness, other then that it allegedly did. My side of the documents haven't gone through yet, so I think I'm just going to give it back to the guy. If anyone wants it, I'll give you the dudes contact info. Just be prepared to pay like $500 in fees.
