How could you ever doubt Matts definition of proper

Never doubted was curious what was replaced like 2man said maybe he left the 2.7 block and swapped the pistons some other frankenstein combination since it was from an 86 ES. Clarification was all I was looking for, Matt doesn't skimp on the the important stuff but maybe like the rear brakes certain sensors or hoses were still good etc.

for sure, for sure? I've noticed that it doesnt do it in first and second, but third thru fifth the 3-4.5k it hesitates. Any moar info? only things I've been able to find is idle hesitation.

Never for sure. But that's the cheapest easiest thing to check and the symptoms sound just about the same.

Cps is very temperamental. Never a consistency to when it does it, but the reaction as almost always the same. The sensor sounds the ECU the wrong reading at some point, mixture becomes disrupted and the engine hesitates. Usually it happens from fraying against the pulley or something, but best to check with a known good one.

so Ive been looking for places in OC and Ive got it narrowed down to 2 choices. Live in Fullerton within 5 miles of work OR living in Costa Mesa and commuting ~20 miles to work. I'd love to be close to the water because Im spoiled up here with bodies of water all over the place, but I am paranoid that commuting 20 miles a day in so-cal will drive me mad.

                        thoughts?

I live 3 miles from my job and don't regret only getting on the freeway in traffic, except on weekends for recreation or personal biz. Save gas, save miles on your car, save time, (big one for me), 20 miles can be over an hour long trip one way. Also love the fact that I can go home for lunch. All these things equal more money in your pocket and they lead to less stress in your life.

My commute is 33 miles from LA to Long Beach and its a 35-45 minute commute. If it were the other way around it would be twice as long.
