i know of two people that have broken that wonky overlap bolt - that's all i'm saying.

Ethan is a prick and made me PAY for the replacement broken inner bolts the second time they broke. he also implied that Castro's isn't qualified to install their adapters.

i'm not saying that adaptec has had absolutely no faults. but i'm just saying the amount of complaints versus the amount of users is a very small fraction compared to 42. especially if you've had issues twice with them and it seems a large number of other people keep having issues with them.

I know of 3 people besides Ayman and I that have had issues with rounding those outside nuts and breaking studs/bolts, yet Ethan takes the position that each case is separate and unique user error.

I haven't heard of anyone having issues with 42DD until now so please...do tell. The 42DD design is better so I went with them but if they were installed correctly and the hardware isn't up to par then an upgrade is needed. The studs/nut are currently grade 10.9 Zinc plated.

ah yes, that i can agree with you on. however if i were to get adapters again it would most definitely still be adaptec. if you can stay the same bolt pattern, i highly recommend it. less to worry about it.
