I wanna trade my car but the other guy only has a bill of sale and the car isn't registered in his name. So he bought it with a bill of sale and is selling it with a bill of sale. Anyway to make that work or should I stay away?

call dmv or AAA and they can confirm the ownership if you have the owners name, also if the car has a salvage, or unpaid reg/ticket history.
its always a risk, get drivers licence numbers etc also.PBMW Magazine. PVW Mag

I would have cash in had to buy the car and request that the seller goes to the DMV with you to do the paperwork. There are lots of things that could happen. I recently bought a car through a friend that had the pink slip but did not put the car into his name. We later found out that the original owner had it registered in his and his wife's name which is not how he signed the pink slip. I had to mail the pink slip back to the guy I bought if from and he took it to the original owner to get the proper signatures. It all worked out fine because he was a good guy but it could have turned into a pain in the butt.
Cheers,

Go to AAA with the guy and see what they say and what is needed. Make him do all the leg work.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
