205 is too small for a 9" wheel. I have 205 on a 7.5" wheel, and the thread is just inboard of the rim.

Yea I thought so. I really want a 215/40 but only two brands I can find are "champiro" and yoko s drives. Then I can't even find those tires in 205/40 for my front wheels. I'd hate to mismatch.

215/40 on a 9" worked well for this guy...

Ideally I like to go with a bigger proven brand with a better compound, but I got the rear tires replaced fairly cheap.

Hmm. I wonder if can tuck that. I'm already poking a bit in the rear with the 16x9 +10. With 205/45 16x8 +11 I barely have finger clearance. I don't think 215/40 is gunna fly the more I think about it. I cut this fender pretty much flush, but it's not rolled. Should be able to get a couple mm more clearance without wreckin my square fenders. Imo they look like ass when rolled to the max basically flared out.

Be careful going smaller than 215, personally from experience I wouldn't do it. I'm all for stretch, but only to some extent. As of right now my rear tires are at the most stretch I would personally run, honestly i would even consider going up to 225 in the future. It's not ridiculous, but it's at that point where if it were any more I would be scared to throw it into corners.

By all means if you have to go smaller, it can be done, easily! But at what cost since you'll loose some performance as well.

If it's a show car, screw it! Do it! Haha

It all depends on which tire you go with. 205/40 Nitto NeoGen's look nice on a 9 imo, visibly stretched but not like lip exposed stretch.

If you want matching 205/40 front and 215/40 rear, I believe Maxxis is the only one that makes both sizes currently.

Funny that you say neogens cause that's what I decided to run. I got neogens on my 8s and I like the flat sidewall with a 205/40

Anyone know why my cars cooling temperature would rise halfway when I'm on the freeway?
Usually when I'm stuck in traffic the temp gauge will be in between the 11o clock position and the 12 o'clock position. Only thing I can think of is a clogged radiator or stuck thermostat. Suggestions?
                    Thanks

Low coolant, bad thermostat, bad sensor, blown headgasket, or failing water pump?

                        Coolant is good.
Thermostat was new like 2 years ago.
Water pump was replaced 2 years ago.
Headgasket was replaced 2 years ago aswell.

Loving this tac. Only brapped it to 5k and it was so money. Can only imagine what 8k sounds like.

Just driving it around the lot you could tell this thing only wants to drive fast. Heavy clutch, steering, can't roll out the clutch unless you rev it out. Can't even see the full cage, trick suspension, crazy motor. Never wanted a 911 so bad.
