I've only dealt with 1 asshat who was selling an E30, but he was obviously not any sort of automotive enthusiast by no means.

Ugh where to start. First he was over 30 minutes late but it gave me a chance to really look over the car. Car was listed as clean interior and exterior. Now I dont expect mint condition but every panel on the car was banged up in some way. Car ran decent so I was still tempted to have a beater eta but then he told me they never transferred the title over and it was over a year expired, which meant back fees plus the fact that it probably want going to pass smog...I needed him to drop the price and he wouldn't budge, so I walked

Jk I bought a Bosch battery over a year ago and I forgot to turn my lights off after a day of work and I came back and it started right up. I bought the Bosch because it was under 90 bucks.
Or you can do a duralast battery, they usually have a good warranty.

Anyone have a m30 who wouldn't mind testing a couple of afms for me? I put 2 squid chips in 2 m20 173 ecus with 2 m30 afms and I can't figure out what's not working, it teases occasionally that it's running correctly after a while but it then runs dangerously bad at random times. Any sort of chance to test any of the above and eliminate which is the issue would be lovely.

In hindsight, I would've just spent a little extra and done a maf conversion. Boiling intake boots over and over and having to take them off when something doesn't work kills the savings taking all your time.
