    I have seen all that including the RHD ITBs. Thanks for the info though.

    My main interest is, I have seen Kamotors use RHD and I think so did CaTuned, I know its not plug and play but how much work goes into dialing them in and whats used for tunes, chip, standalone?. IF all that is worth the 20-40hp and that sweet trumpetting sounds with throttle response.

        ITBs are one of those "lets get as much as possible out of this setup" things. If you have a ton of headwork, cams, proper exhaust then ITBs would be the next thing to look at. Tuning is usually why people get rid of them. CAtuned's setup is just for show, KAmotors wouldve been someone who could have tuned the setup properly but he has automotive ADD.

        ForcedFirebird has tuned a setup on the 413 ECU, but said it took many many hours on a dyno to get it right.

            In my opinion, unless you have some psycho 12:1 compression 3.2L M20 you really shouldn't bother with the ITB setup. But I'm just some guy, what do I know? :D

              I'm not sure what motor you have but the M42 kit was designed to work with the stock ECU. Their claims and dyno charts show a modest boost that would of course grow with more mods, some of which would then force you to go stand-alone. In this case it is not absolutely necessary to go stand-alone with this mod alone and maybe exhaust or headers.

              I agree with 2man just from seeing the amount of work that went in to designing the kit above, the rabbit hole can go as deep as you make it.

              I would suggest looking up an expert tuner (if you are not one yourself) familiar with itb setups and ideally your car and have it tuned 90% - 99% right the first time. It's a very specialized skill.

                i just did a test fit on the rear and I think I'm going to need a spacer in the rear.. whats the easiest place to host pictures?

                  I too was interested in ITB's. Read about it, talked to others about it. The main disadvantage (as I understand it) is tuning each cylinder. The factors at play are the different intake temperatures/pressures/volumes and velocities available to each trumpet in the bay. The resolution is to build an airbox around the trumpets, which equalizeshould the air, and some people have, but obviously that hides the "beauty"and muffles the glorious induction sounds, plus not many people have the ability to build one. (For reference, the S54 has this.) I'm not knowledgeable in tuning but the magic to tuning is creating a map for the largest possible rev range based on specific circumstances. ITB's one EFI aren't worth the effort to most people for their finicky nature and unreliability. You might as well try carbs, like on an E-type Jag.
