The engine is mostly what makes me like them so much. The s38 and M88 seem like such powerhouses. M5 would have to be a keeper if a had one , especially in midnight purple.

I had no interest in actually attending bfest, I just went for the caravan. MAN THERE'S SOME STUPID FUCKIN KIDS OUT THERE. I mean for fucks sake! Quit blocking 1½ lanes of traffic on a 2 lane road! I was blocked in a side street for several minutes as people play musical chairs between parking/moving/reparking/waiting for friends/inching along. Jesus christ, get on the freeway already and smooth it out there. I just drove to the front of the "line" of people "waiting" for sooommething before getting on the freeway. No idea why.
I absolutely have to find a better meeting spot for next year, because that's way too many cars for one garage parking lot.

The cool part is seeing a bunch of your car surround you, in all the different flavors people create. The cool part is seeing them move together, albeit in harmony. The cool part is smiling because you're having fun, smiling because you see others having fun, smiling because of this unique connection between similar metal boxes and similar mentality of automotive enthusiasm. The cool part is being a part of something bigger than yourself.
But we can do that with less than 10 cars up a mountain road.
You missed something. I can't tell you or anyone what is "important" in life, but this memory, as ridiculous as some bits of it was, is the reward for my efforts to get up early and do something that day.
