Hey guys any idea what could cause this. Idle surges unless I remove the dip stick or ventilation tube. I've replaced many parts and seals including injector o rings, manifold gaskets, icv, Air flow meter, temp sensors, intake boot, fpr, crank sensor Ect but all to no effect.

As I'm cleaning out some of my hoard, I got a brand new, still in its box, hardware included I.E. Cat back system for e30 m20.
Never installed or tested, so like stated brand new. If anyone wants a stupid deal, my loss is your gain.
I paid over $400 you get it complete for $280

Junkyard. Shove them in your pocket. If you don't find an e30 cluster, an e34 has the same screws, I think.

I'm somewhat interested now that I hear headers are involved. Does it allow you to retain the cat and silencer?

I'm sure you can just get it welded in, it's headers, downpipe (then you would need the catalytic) to the the cat back system.
