It seems like the cylinder is leaking pressure internally assuming you're not losing brake fluid externally and the system has been bled properly.

So I narrowed down the problem a bit. It only happens if I press the clutch pedal gently. If I give it a quick jab, operates as normal. But if I slowly press it, absolutely no resistance and goes straight to the floor.

Sounds like a seal. Perhaps the internal seal on the clutch master is bad. Are u sure the fluid isn't leaking anywhere?

What's up Terry? how's it goin? I was just thinking it was too quiet in here lately so I'll share my latest project. I picked up this car (Mike Carrey's old euro) from the guy he sold it to over a year ago for $500. It's an 85 323i 5 speed in running condition with BAR label. Just finished going through the entire car.

Did you pull any rear spring pads out yet?

Yup. It was a bad master cylinder. Febi no less... swapped in the fte MC last night, bled it, no more weirdness. Could probably use another bleed, but I have reliable clutch action again.

Barry; I'm really digging the new project, but please get off them adapters.
Redrill, you know it's a better route unless 5 lug swap.

thats great news! Have fun at the Streets course!

in other news, I drove up to Simi Valley and dropped off the car with the fabricator to get the roll bar welded in. I figured if I had it back in 2 weeks I would be happy. Turns out he cant really have it sitting there very long so he told me it should be done monday or tuesday!

                      Yes and switched to Eibachs
The bav auto springs were for late models.

Febi isn't as good as they used to be. I went with FTE as well. I'm glad you got it sorted.

I want to keep it 4 lug for the Alpinas I plan to install someday. Adapters obviously allow me to use my 5x120 wheels in the meantime. The Blox adapters are high grade and have a good track record so I decided to run them. I still don't like not being able to torque the overlapping bolt though.

Why do u say that? I have one on my silver M3 and vert. Goes nice with startecs IMO. I don't think I like them with stock tails though.

Who/where is your fabricator in Simi?

Also who is going to the Topanga CNC tomorrow morning?

A friend of a friend, he runs a shop called Empire Fabrication. He's moving the shop to Ventura soon, so that might be more convenient for you. Are you planning on welding in your roll bar too
