you should have at least started credit. its mandatory in today's economy. i am almost done paying off my car, wasn't a considerably large amount of money, but i've always repaid in a reasonable time, and this one is coming short. you want to have a very well established credit score when purchasing a house, but also for a new car, etc. but of course, you need to put a large down payment as well without a question. 15k down, plus well established credit, and you've got yourself low mortgage payments on a nice 3 bedroom home.


in today's economy, its extremely difficult. you would want to go to a credit union nowadays.

well his wife makes good money so she put down half on the house. atm they rent a small apt here in torrance ( money from the ppl who rent their house in corona )

uh oh financial talk...Mike has a lot of valid points and it reflects in that he is a home owner. Ben has a point as well but unfortunately that logic is slowly fading in a corrupt and crippled economy.

Credit union cards are no different then banks honestly I've had/have both currently it all comes down to how you use them. a credit union card however may be a bit more lenient with the interest rate but more stringent in how high your limit is. It's a give and take thing, just avoid gimmick cards like store cards or even certain gas cards.

i'm trying to consolidate all my debt into one interest-deferred school loan. come first payout, i'm paying off all my cards.

you must have a lot of debt then mike. i rarely use my car, only for emergencies or when i really want something and just don't have the funds atm. i always pay my card off in a reasonable amount of time. i've only paid $46 in interest in the past 2 years.
