Howdy, SoCal boys! Been a while since I been on the forums. Got back to NYC about a month ago and been busy settling in. I'm not looking forward to the winter, and the city streets are destroying my car. I plan on being back in SoCal by Jan or Feb. This time, for good. In the meantime, stay sunny and keep surfing out there.

              Temp gauge not working....
Turn on car stays on cold.....
              Drive car stays on cold...
after driving for a while.. you shut car off and it shoots to red hot and stays there.

The car isn't overheating... Im about to take the cluster out and inspect... info if you have any would be great...

Sup gents, Taking out 20 year old purple tint on the rear window is a PITA. The heat gun does not help a bit. :(

                Cheers,

                Jim

Jim, spray some undiluted ammonium and let it sit for a while in the sun, obviously the hotter it gets, the better. I've heard covering the window with a large, black trash bag also helps. Be sure to cover your nostrils-- it'll sting like no other.

You can also use shampoo and water in a spray bottle on a sunny day too.

Thanks guys  The heat gun seemed to work on the sides but the rear glass got baked by the sun and never softened up so it would peel. I thought the heat gun trick would work but now with your help the job should be a lot simpler. Great advise, I will let you know how it goes tomorrow.

                        Cheers,
