Howdy, SoCal boys! Been a while since I been on the forums. Got back to NYC about a month ago and been busy settling in. I'm not looking forward to the winter, and the city streets are destroying my car. I plan on being back in SoCal by Jan or Feb. This time, for good. In the meantime, stay sunny and keep surfing out there.'87 325i "Chewey" (RIP, my beloved)

Sup gents, Taking out 20 year old purple tint on the rear window is a PITA. The heat gun does not help a bit. :(

Thanks guys  The heat gun seemed to work on the sides but the rear glass got baked by the sun and never softened up so it would peel. I thought the heat gun trick would work but now with your help the job should be a lot simpler. Great advise, I will let you know how it goes tomorrow.
Cheers,
