Seems like before 87 all the US verts had the rubber + aluminum bumper, and between 87 and 91 they had painted metal + aluminum bumper, and after 91 they had plastic.

Unfortunately for me, I have a 1/91, and they switched to plastic in 2/91 :(

hmm...Wilmington in san pedro or the OC yards katella and ball are the one's that come to my mind. I was at the sun valley yard today so definitely want to try different one's. Anyone know if the OC yards are picked clean?

There are no verts before 87 so your logic is flawed. All metal bumper convertibles except black had paint matched bumper shrouds. Any you see that do not have them have had the parts changed out.

zasz did you do the rear bumper conversion?

I've still got my aluminum rear bumper on still, and it has saved my ass twice because of other drivers' stupidity.

I have the bumper, and a friend is giving me shocks for it today, so I'll do it sometime in the near future.

I just don't trust other drivers...
