True enough. I forget that because I think it was BARd as being from an E36 325i (your engine, when it was in my car) Again, I just have a feeling like I read that it would be inaccurate, but then again, we know how much misinformation is in forums where everyone can be an internet armchair engineer. ;-)

When doing a swap you use the E34 pan AND dipstick. Therefore it's correct.

Thanks! My self-doubt was just getting the best of me. Can't be having the car run on the wrong amount of oil now can we?

Damn. I know people who would drive to you and install your suspension for half of what you were quoted.

No mechanic in his right mind (especially when they've got a shop) would ever charge $60 a side to do that bearing. Not only does the axle need to come out, the brakes needs to come apart, the parking brake needs to come apart, and the hub needs to be pulled.

                            Good luck...

cheap prices not always mean cheap work....ive used them before on my last e30s and my current one...they did a lot of the work on my last e30. never had an issue, plus their prices are great, i cant complain. plus i cant affor to pay 300 per side at places that do "quality work". either way i dropped it off it should be ready tomorrow afternoon and ill see what happens...
