Only if your U.S plate is hidden behind it I believe.
I think any plate behind another plate is weird. Vanity plates are cheap here in cali

Two years and I never been pulled over cuz of my euro plate. (no Cali plate in front of it either) Also been around cops like a boss and no ticket.
