            I'm sorry but there's absolutely no way the dealer is charging 11k for a water pipe. That's something like 80 hours of labor, more than even replacing the whole drivetrain would call for.
            I couldn't believe it either until I read all the 5 and 7 series
            boards with the N62 engine and quotes between 9 to 11K are typical.
            That's why All German Auto designed the work around part
            to avoid completely tearing the engine down to get to the pipe.
            Anyway, even my brother the lawyer won't pay that.

                                Having a hard time finding 20/50 oil in San Diego. 20/50 was best back east because of the cold, and it's what I've been used to using. What do you guys use out here?

                                Car has just over 200k miles.

                                    Dude, go to VatoZone or walmart, hell maybe even kmart will have plenty of 20/50 high miliage CASTROL in the green bottles.

                                        That's funny...most people use a thinner oil in the extreme cold and a thicker oil like 20w-50 in the summer.

                                            I dunno, I always found 20/50 did the job, summer or winter. I'll keep searching. Got a few more miles to go before I need to get er done.
