M20 with a g260? 187mm same as the stock selector rod.

*Make sure your shifter is not on backwards.

i had to put it in backwards to make it sit near neutral. otherwise, 2nd and 4th gear were not reachable because the lever was so far back.

Maybe you always had your shifter on backwards?
Mine always sat stock like this and after.

no....it sat normally with the stock selector rod. i'm not complaining, i'm just saying.

also, with it in backwards, it sits right of center. again, i'm not complaining, just letting you know.

Got it, I know your not complaining, thanks for the feedback, hmm, im curious to know what shifter you are using and if it has more of a bend on it.

Its an "alternative" tester selector rod, soon to be available to the forum.

i tried to upload a picture of how it sits, but tinypic is down :(

i have the shorter z4. it DOES have a bend, but one that the stock selector didn't have a problem with. the lever is installed with the bend pointing forward. it's almost perfect that way except it feels like the gears are one gate over (1st looks like 3rd).

i will say that that thing is machined precisely. i had to grind off the excess bushing around the bottom of the lever just to wedge it in. everything fits unbelievably snug.

We have both of those PM me if you want to come down to Fallbrook to pick them up. I know, it's a long drive, but I can't meet you half way on this. We will be cleaning out the garage all weekend and have lots of other parts we are getting rid of.
