Gonna drill my e34 pan for the turbo drain while its still off the car, what size should I drill it to? 5/8? and I don't have a welder so I was planning on something like this and tightening it and throwing locktite. Any suggestions?

It has new copper spark plugs, new coolant lines, not sure how that's relevant, and it has power but when I try to start it does not crank over. Already did the stomp gas deal, push start, etc. It has a new (castro installed) timing belt, so what else can i look at? crank position sensor?
