They always tell me " why don't you get a new car?", all I say is drive my Car then talk. The ones that do are sold, the rest are too snobby to even be seen in a 25 year old car.

i'm also guilty of owning a new Merc but It's when I take my family out or go driving long distances, Other than that it just sits there. I've had it for two years and it has 11k miles.

I feel much safer having the airbags and 1000 pounds of added bulk but the enthusiast in me will always crave the rawness of what the e30 is.

I love the e30 so much I wash it about twice as often as any of my other newer cars.

I still don't understand why people think driving an expensive car makes them cooler than the next guy.

The next thing you know people will just drive around with signs showing what their personal assets are!

Thing just stays in the garage! Literally just for fam trips or his business stuff.

S class are so svelt, It's just that I can't park anything that large! I've got a little itty bitty C300. It's the perfect size for a modern car but guzzles gas like a V8. Everytime I drive it I feel like i'm on a hovercraft.. can't feel anything.

The truth is the only reason why I have Mercs is because my wife is into the badge.

It's important for people from the Philippines to be seen in upscale cars wearing upscale clothes and stuff. Cars I buy for myself are usually Subaru's or some other japanese car but anything for the family HAS to be a NEW Benz or Bimmer.

I deal with it because it makes her happy, Meanwhile I'm driving around in my 90's and 80's cars!

                    Swag.

My dad purchased it as a present for himself. In a sense of "making it" here in the US. And yeah, in Lebanon big Mercs & BMW's are a 8) factor over there too.
                    I'm happy for him.
I couldn't say he ever uses it as a symbol considering it only has 20k since 2006/7 loool.

Thanks guys, I was getting worried. I kinda like that cap.;)

FWIW the Mtech was my second E30 and it's sticking around. I like the others too but the E30-M20 with a 5 speed and the 4:10 diff is a kick in the ass to drive and cheap to work on. Even if it is only half a car... :-D

I hope you all have a great time tonight and tomorrow.

                        Cheers,

This pretty much calls for a new cps, right? The separation between the cord and sensor body. There is some frayed silver wire in there too.

freakin oil pan gasket job. Its not the hassle of the gasket, but of bolting the oil pump on while its down in the pan and not dropping the bolts back down into the pan.
