Yeah,that is what it seems like. When it starts up very weak the starter wont make noise like it usually does when it starts up fine. i bought this cps, its not oem and has only a year of use.

i've got an oem used CPS if you need one. still works, jsut replaced it when i started slanging parts at the car, which btw it ended up being the starter causing my no crank, no nada problem. threw on a new starter and tada! running good again. threw some fresh plugs in while i was at it.

Try WD-40 on it. That's what fixed mine for a while.

They don't snap into the clips as sturdy/secure as OEM, fitment is not great on the sides (one side ends up being a bit shorter), and the material is more prone to cracking if struck.
