The front blinkers use what, 3 wires? What do you need a shop for?

The blinkers are not the issue. Once the teardown started it just exposed a wiring disaster done by the PO which now leave one headlight on all the time..

anyway, this is something i would tackle myself but everything electrical has always been a struggle for me

Ah, gotcha. Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of electrical myself.

A line of credit would give you flexibility in this case assuming you have a job, but you think those are stupid so never mind.

Are you starting to understand the difference between buying a $1000 car and a $4000 used car?

I traded $300 e30 for e34 lol. And yes if I had a job this would be no big expense and I would have this fixed asap. I have a savings but it isn't enough to fix the clutch and driveshaft and a few other things I want to fix while she's apart. I'm sad I can't drive my BMW but I can use my parents extra car and wait to get her fixed. It was only an emergency because the clutch died on the 15/10 freeway merger. Now that I have her home I can work and save my money till I can afford to fix her.

Not to mention all the labor cost he's spending to have someone else fix the car.

Luke, its ok to say you made a mistake...

for example: Its a quarter to 5 in the morning and I havent been able to sleep. I wish I hadnt quit smoking weed because Id be having happy dreams right now about White Castle burgers and big breasted blondes performing fallacious activities on me. Instead Im on r3v reading about you trying to justify trading a great car for a POS.

Which brings me to another point (brain is really working right now), we havent seen ANY posts about your old E30 constantly breaking down... hmmm

Yeah I know. Yes this e34 is a piece of shit but I love her anyways. Yes I want another e30 but again I have no job. I am currently applying everywhere in the high desert I just went around on Tuesday handing out my resume and filling out applications. Life is tough right now as a 19 yr old jobless college student. I probably should own some shit Honda that won't break down but I love BMW's too much to do that. Maybe I should have kept the e30 but I don't regret my decision.
