It's not worth getting into trouble for honestly and I can't condone stealing parts from another E30 even though someone may have done that to you. You have no proof it was this person who did it. Now if your front emblem goes missing and the ETA shows up with a new emblem soon after then you have probable cause.

He has a new front emblem I just looked at his car. But i'll uoad a pic of the suspicious emblem/ my cars scratch. And no i would not steal it back or steal any parts off anyone else's car.

I had my hood emblem popped off in 5 minutes that i was away from my car. I walked into the store to get beer and when i come back to my car, BAM! Hood emblem gone

Exactly. And the fact that he doesn't take it to school often makes it a prime candidate to put a stolen badge on. I think he pried it off with a key because a screw driver would have gotten under the chrome trim. Which makes sense if he he walked by my car and no one was around.
