There are no meets in the IE,so if i drive from work(chino) to the van nuys meet its 50 miles. If i drive from home (lake elsinore) to the up and coming OC meet it is 50 miles. If i drive from home (again lake elsinore) to the SD meet it is another 50 miles or so. I dont mind driving to meet with some great people with great cars. I think either at The Spectrum in Irvine or at the in-n-out off El Toro rd and the 5 fwy would be good. I personally think the El Toro rd one would better due to the fact of somebody stating about the people at the Spectrum dont like people having meets there. I dont know how irvine is but we need feed back on that,i dont think we want to be rolled up on for nothing just because we are having a meet. The spot at El Toro seems to be a safe haven to have it at.

I think Irvine is good for the OC and San Diego guys. If they can drive up from SD, then LA guys can drive down. It would be a good 1/2 way point and great opportunity to meet some of the SD/IE guys. We already have a SFV and South Bay LA meet so an OC meet is in order. For me, driving to Irvine would be the same distance as driving to the Valley so no big deal for me.

my family is old friend's with a 50's style restaurant in bixby knolls that used to hold a weekly car meet. the economy hurt them and the meet is no longer held, and they close early now, around 7pm. i could talk to them and see if they could make an occasion to stay open later once a month.
