    i won something once and never got it :(, But yea it does grab attention, that cant be the only reasons for ppl to go.

    Seriously though, a lot of people make very long drives to make these, it's always nice to sweeten the pot with giveaways and trophies and shit. It's fun and it gets people excited. It helps the atmosphere as well, and makes people more social. When somebody wins something everybody wants to see it, and then they end up talking about plans for it and shit like that. Don't be such a hipster. ;)
