e30partsguy / Bo Lamm = Shady & Unknowledgeable Seller!
I never post on this forum, but felt the e30 community should know this.
When I went back home to the Bay Area, I mistakenly became friends with this Bo Lamm guy ("e30partsguy" on R3V, "Bobome" on e30performance, "ethirtypartsguy" on FleaBay) through our mutual interest in e30's. I gave him $100 for him to obtain a white plastic rear bumper, and lent him $80 cash. I'm now back in Colorado, but after 6 months, no bumper or $80 paid back.
This guy not only has bad business practices, but has very limited knowledge of BMW's (i.e. incorrectly sold Hartge headers for m30/e28 as fitting m20/e30; sold wrong sway bars for e28 to "95maxrider"; etc). I even tried to help this MoFo out:
Better yet, look at the build quality of one of his four e30's. Each one is a total poop-box built with cheap crap parts. Yeah, please prove me wrong and post pics of your "quality" rides Bo!
Also, I previously purchased a rear bumper center trim piece for plastic bumpers, but most clips were broken so trim would not stay attached to bumper. With this same order, I explicitly stated I wanted "4-piece twist-on BBS hubcaps" for 15" Euroweave/M3/iX rims, and he sent me cheap-ass "1-piece push on BMW hubcaps." I know, ask for pictures first, but I thought a "friend" who was a "real enthusiast" would know what a correct part was. Money for incorrect parts was refunded, but I had to mail parts from Colorado back to California on my dime and time.
So if you deal with this Bo Lamm "e30partsguy" on R3V, "Bobome" on e30performance, "ethirtypartsguy" on FleaBay, be careful.
Shady and unknowledgeable seller! Bad combo...
P.S. I know I won't get my money back, but yes, he will pay someone if he wants to repair the damage! (i.e. from pay phone call City of Oakland police to report his e30(s) without current insurance/registration are stolen, Oakland police finds e30(s), runs registration and insurance check which comes back void, e30(s) get impounded, have fun watching "owner" try to get his e30(s) smog certified/registered when they are impounded). Hahaha, another loss of e30's because the "owner" is such a genius! Nah, I got something better planned...
Sucks for everyone involved. Lots of guys are just building IG cars these days... Look good on the internet, but in real life they're hacked up piles of shit.
