I've only really ridden with smooth drivers at autox. If they are smooth, they're usually not scary. Some of the fast cars there are really entertainingly fast though. You don't get how high the limits of some of these cars are until you ride in them. The mustang I codrive has crazy power but the SM Evos are even more outrageous.
I don't think I have, but I've seen enough video :p I took a few laps around t-hill with austin in his coxster at 10/10ths, that shit was intense.
you should drive the m3 around, it's fun

Nate was faster than me by quite a bit. Both our fast runs were the 3rd runs. I think my best was a 41.2 or something and Nate's was a 40.2? Nate should know.
I think yours is right, mine was a 40 flatish.... Tied with my best official run in the mustang (though I pulled a 39.2 out of my ass in that car later) frankly I was quite impressed with the car man, e30s make great autocrossers. The only problem is that e36s make better ones, lol.
Next time maybe see if you can put the gopro more forward so you can see steering inputs, and angle down more to see less sky and more car. It's sweet seeing those power lines going over the lot in the beginning though, never noticed those beforepaint sucks

riding along with someone in a faster, grippier car than you've ever been in quickly puts you in new territory. I should drive more fast things. working on it..
I'm fucked for time for like the next month and a half, but maybe we can take a saturday morning and tool around the outer peninsula some day.

Yup, sitting in an autonomous racecar nailing the line is terrifyingly awesome. Especially when you're the one who just changed the braking code.Last edited by Bimmerman325i; 02-21-2014, 06:04 PM.

Hey do you guys know what happens if the wrong diff fluid gets used? I had my car at a my friends shop to get my coolant pressure tested and he offered to change it but not quite sure the exact type that was used, i think its supposed to be 75 40 regular gear oil, i think they put in some type of synthetic oil which is BAD! i drove about 60miles already hopefully didn't do any serious damage.
