Am i stupid for wanting to buy this?
I should be selling the e30 soon and with that money i can pay off the duc and buy this and have a few pennies left over.

I think all of us grew up got old and have lives.
i have driven my e30 5 times this year. its 435i msport or ducati for me now days. and with the lack of a good phone app, it's hard to long into my PC, and spend time away from life shooting sh*t.

yeah, i haven't been on anything other than my bike this year and last. a car is a miserable experience in the city unless it's someone else's.

Has anyone ever replaced a 4-door drivers door?

Need to replace my door soon, not looking forward to the alignment process...

I did years ago, alignment wasn't tough, I forget the details so I have no specific advice. Did the steel around your checkrod mount go bad?

Mine got into metal fatigue. I tried beefing it up but it would go through checkrods in about 6 months. PITA. New/used door has done fine.

I did a while back. I supported the edge of the old door with a jack stands and some shims and a rag and then set the new door down on the support and bolted it up so that it sat on the support in the same way. Worked like a charm.
The other option (which I found out about after doing mine) is to take the bolt out of the bottom of each hinge pin and then pull up on the door. The adjustable half of the hinges stays on the chassis and you just stick the new door on and put the bolts back.

Anyone good with welding (body panels) or know a shop that can do a decent job for not a lot of money? I've got to get the corner of my e28 repaired, 2 different shops estimated around $1500, and that's just way too much to spend on this car.

Lol lakers fans are fun. Overall much more tolerable than LBJ-era Cavs fans tho IMO.
