So I drove a 370z the other night with a short shifter kit. The shifts were very short I didn't like it at all. I was planning on getting the z3 1.9 short shifter for the e30 but now I'm second guessing. Can anyone tell me how the z3 shifter shifts? Comparable to a e46 m3 shifter?

Stock e30 shifter works really quite good. On track for Fullraze as well.
If you are bored it's an interesting thing to change to a shorter lever but it's really interesting to install a longer lever; we fit a X5 unit to our race e30

I also grabbed a DSSR and an AKG Delrin shift carrier bushing and it feels pretty solid, though the DSSR wasn't exactly cost effective. I have had people codrive my car at autox and have a hard time getting it to shift quickly because of the effort required but I think that is mainly due to the old worn synchros and it has never bothered me.
